Meet the Guys

We’re Josh and Carlos — two Sacramento locals who’ve been best friends since our El Camino High School days. We grew up skating together almost every day, grinding curbs and dreaming big. Raised right here in Sac, we’re proud to now build something of our own for the community that raised us. The Sactown Spotlight is our way of helping local businesses shine, one postcard at a time.

Joshua Miller
Co-founder & CEO

Josh is the founder of Lucky’s Window & Gutter Cleaning, a Sacramento-based service known for quality work and community care. Born and raised in Sacramento, Josh started cleaning windows as a side hustle and turned it into a full-time business through hard work and word-of-mouth. After graduating from El Camino High School, he teamed up with his lifelong best friend Carlos to launch The Sactown Spotlight — a way to help other local businesses get seen and grow, just like he did.

Carlos Santillan
Co-founder & COO

Carlos grew up in Sacramento skating curbs and talking tech with Josh, his best friend since El Camino High. These days, he travels the world working on ships — but his heart (and hustle) is still in Sac. Always the tech-minded one, Carlos handles the backend of The Sactown Spotlight — from systems and design to making sure every postcard and post looks clean and runs smooth. While Josh is on the streets, Carlos keeps everything wired tight behind the scenes.
